Established in 2007, Digifish is a leader in heritage and documentary filmmaking. We collaborate with curators, historians, and communities to ensure historical accuracy while using creative storytelling to connect past and present.
Exhibition & Educational Films with immersive content that enhances visitor experiences and makes complex historical topics engaging.
Documentary Films bringing historical events and figures to life through re-enactments, interviews, and archival materials.
Re-enactments & Dramatisations developed in collaboration with expert historians to produce cinematic recreations of pivotal moments.
Animation & Archive Storytelling that transforms historical documents, photographs, and artefacts into dynamic visual narratives.
Community & Outreach Projects through partnering with museums, schools, and local groups to preserve and share historical narratives.
We’ve worked with institutions such as Leeds Museums and Galleries, York Museums Trust, Royal Armouries, National Army Museum, The Holocaust Survivors’ Friendship Association, Wakefield Museum, and the Royal Observatories. We help to document and preserve history for future generations.
Since 2007, Digifish has led innovative heritage film projects, beginning with a full-length documentary on Yorkshire during the Cold War which had a limited cinema release. Featuring interviews with CND members, re-enactments, and exclusive filming inside a Cold War bunker, this project set the foundation for our commitment to historical storytelling.
Our portfolio includes films on Roman York, the Vikings, the history of cinema, the evolution of Girl Guiding, World War I & II, and Asian heritage. We have also worked extensively with The Holocaust Survivors’ Friendship Association, capturing over 30 in-depth survivor testimonies now permanently housed at the Holocaust Exhibition and Learning Centre in Huddersfield.
We’ve filmed across the UK in museums, archives, archaeological sites, and historic digs, often gaining access to places the public rarely sees, such as a preserved Roman crypt hidden beneath a private house.
With a proven track record in heritage filmmaking, we are the perfect partner to bring historical stories to life.
Established in 2007 we have a proven track record in quality heritage filmmaking. We offer a full-service production from research and scripting to filming, editing, and post-production. Our award-winning filmmakers are dedicated to historical accuracy and creative storytelling.
We are in experts in immersive storytelling, using a combination of re-enactments, animation, and documentary filmmaking. It is our passion for impact that helps institutions educate, engage, and inspire audiences of all ages.
Looking for an immersive exhibition film, a compelling documentary, or an engaging educational resource? We’re here to help.
